Water Sports

The longest river in Great Britain, the River Severn flows for 220 miles from source to mouth.

As well as being Britain’s longest river, it also has one of the largest tides in the world at a massive 15 metres. It is only beaten by the Yangtse in China.

This winding river provides a popular location for water sports with people of all ages and abilities looking for a day out, multi-day trips or long touring adventures. There are opportunities to canoe, kayak, and paddle along the River Severn with professional guides, as well as self-directed tours available.
