Wyre Forest District Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

A broken ARIA reference means ARIA labels and descriptions may not be presented correctly. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A) and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (Level A).

This is currently with our development team to be fixed.

Insufficient contrast on our breadcrumb links and image carousel controls (when styles are disabled) means some people with low vision may struggle to see them correctly. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (Level AA).

This is currently with our development team to be fixed.

You cannot zoom in to 400% without losing text on the pod or main navigation. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.4 Resize text and 1.4.10 Reflow

This is currently with our development team to be fixed.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We regularly monitor automatic checks, conduct spot checks and respond to accessibility related feedback as a priority.
